Me and my work

Over the years I’ve created hand-drawn patterns and illustrations for all sorts of projects. I work with a range of clients from fashion designers to urban regeneration agencies. And while my studio is in West Yorkshire I’ve also worked in London, Seville, New York and Mexico City.

As well as my design work, I love working with schools, museums and galleries to create and deliver educational projects around drawing and pattern design. I’m also in the middle of creating a new body of work funded by the Arts Council.

As for my style, I like to create designs by drawing, redrawing, and drawing some more… I’m a fan of tumbling, swooping lines and shapes that move across the page. I’m fascinated by how colour can create movement within pattern design. And with my background in creative pattern cutting (I originally trained in Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University), my work also makes a lot of reference to 3D forms.
